Terms of use

Last updated October 1, 2026

Purpose

These terms govern the use of the WeNous mobile app, published by [PUBLISHER_NAME] (see the legal notice). By creating an account, you accept them.

WeNous lets several people organise their shared daily life in shared spaces called relations: a shopping list, shared expenses, tasks and a calendar. A Personal space also holds your own tasks and events.

Access and account

  • Creating an account requires a first name, a last name, a date of birth, an email address and a password. You agree to provide accurate information.
  • An email address can only hold one account. It cannot be changed in the app: support corrects it on request.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done from your account. Let support know if you think someone else is using it.
  • Each signed-in device has its own session. Signing out only closes the session on that device. Changing or resetting your password signs your other devices out.
  • How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.

Relations and invitations

  • Whoever creates a relation becomes its owner. A relation has at most 20 active members.
  • Only an owner can edit the relation’s details, invite people, change a role, remove a member or delete the relation. Any member can manage the shopping, expenses, tasks and events, change the relation’s photo and leave it. The last owner must appoint another one before leaving.
  • Invitations are sent by email address or by link, and expire after 7 days. An invitation sent to an email address can only be accepted from the account that holds that address. An invitation link can be accepted by anyone who has it: only share it with the person you are inviting.
  • Everything entered in a relation is visible to all its active members. Deleting a relation removes it for everyone.
  • Expenses, balances and repayments are records entered by the members. WeNous makes no payments and holds no money.

Your content

  • You remain the owner of what you enter and of the photos you upload (profile photo, relation photo), and you are responsible for them.
  • You confirm that you hold the rights to the photos you upload and have the consent of the people who appear in them.
  • You authorise the publisher to host, reproduce and display this content to the members concerned, solely to run the service and for as long as it is kept.
  • Any member can replace a relation’s photo; the replaced photo is deleted.

Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • post unlawful, hateful, violent or harassing content, or content that infringes the privacy or rights of others;
  • impersonate another person;
  • try to access an account or a relation that is not yours, or get around the service’s security measures;
  • disrupt the service, in particular through automated or excessive requests;
  • collect other users’ data or use the service for commercial purposes.

If these rules are broken, the publisher may suspend or delete the account concerned, after informing you, except in an emergency.

Availability

The publisher strives to keep the service available at all times but cannot guarantee it: maintenance, an update or an outage may interrupt it. Features may change.

Data is not synchronised in real time: a change made by one member shows up for the others the next time their screen loads, or when they pull it down to refresh.

Task reminders depend on notifications being allowed on your device and on Apple’s and Google’s notification services: their delivery is not guaranteed.

Liability

WeNous is an organisation tool. Members alone are responsible for the decisions they make based on its information, in particular for the sums settled between them.

The publisher is not responsible for content entered by users. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have by law as a consumer.

Deleting your account

You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time, without giving a reason. The procedure, what it deletes and what it keeps are described on the Delete your account page.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change, in particular as the service evolves. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. If a significant change is made, you will be informed before it takes effect; continuing to use WeNous then means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, please first write to support@wenous.fr to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the protective rules you benefit from as a consumer.
